MERV 8 INITIAL EFFICIENCY

Application:

The R8 Series Reusable MERV 8 Filter is a washable pleated filter designed for use in Data Centers, Crypo Mining Facilities, as well as residential, commercial and industrial HVAC applications where MERV 8 efficiency is desired. The abilty to wash and reuse this filter multiple times (4-6 cycles), extends its life cyle and makes the R8 a longer-lasting, economical replacement for standard capacity disposable MERV 8 filters.

Popular applications include furnaces in homes, schools, offices, as well as commercial and government buildings. The R8 makes a great prefilter in multiple-stage, high efficiency HVAC systems like Roof Top Units (RTUs) and Air Handling Units (AHUs).

Construction:

The R8 Series uses a sturdy metal frame to enclose the media pack consisting of pleated polyester media between two expanded metal face grids for increased rigidity. The pack is then installed firmly inside the frame giving the R8 Series filter its exceptional strength and durability. The frame is made with mitered corners and is secured with pop-rivet(s). The frame has drain holes in three corners.

Filter Cleaning and Coating:

1. The R8 Series should be cleaned every 30 days, or as often as necessary to maximize effectiveness. As with any filter, as dust loads its efficiency increases but so does air resistance, so a consistently maintained filter will last longer and cost less overtime.
2. To clean a dirty filter, rinse it with a moderate stream of warm water in the opposite direction of airflow. High-powered steam cleaning or chemical dips are not recommended.
